A LETTER TO STING-RAY FANS

Dear Schwinn Sting-Ray Enthusiast,

When we launched the new Sting-Ray in April 2004 it quickly became clear that we had something very special on our hands. Not since the original Sting-Ray cruised into neighborhoods 40 years ago have we seen such excitement. The feedback we've received from so many of you has been fantastic and very helpful. We're thrilled that you're excited about the new Sting-Ray, and we understand some of the challenges that the popularity of this bicycle has posed.

For example, finding the Sting-Ray for sale can be difficult. We're experiencing demand for the bike that we haven't seen since, honestly, the original Sting-Ray. Once we realized that demand for our new Sting-Ray was significantly greater than our original forecast, we immediately ramped up production significantly to meet that demand. Schwinn retailers will receive major shipments in June, July and August.
