Basic Road Bike Geometries

Race geometry -
Gets a rider in a more aerodynamic position and is built for speed. The bike handling is very quick and responsive, but may require more concentration to keep the bike under control. Traditionally all road bikes were race geometry. However, new, more relaxed, upright riding positions are now available.

Comfort geometry -
More upright and comfortable. As a result, there is less strain on your neck and back. The handling is very smooth and stable.
